Testimonials

Keith - Band Director Colleague of 8 Years

Kevin is a an absolute kid magnate! He does such a great job at setting the students up fundamentally. He gives them the tools they need to perform at a high level and teaches practice strategies to put it all together.

When my students leave his lesson, they are motivated to work hard, have a positive mindset and know they have a mentor that believes in them. It’s easy to see why his student consistently out perform their peers.

Ana - Student Parent for 8 Years

Kevin Ford was my son’s private music instructor throughout middle school and high school in Dallas, Texas. He is an exceptional teacher, mentor, and person. His passion for music and dedication to his students are evident in everything he does.

Kevin invested countless hours helping my son develop his musical abilities and work toward his goals. One of my son’s biggest aspirations was to make State, and with Kevin’s guidance, encouragement, and expertise, he achieved that goal. Our family truly believes that this accomplishment would not have been possible without Kevin’s support.

Not only does Kevin help students become stronger musicians, but he also inspires confidence, discipline, and a love for music. I wholeheartedly recommend him to any family looking for a talented, dedicated, and caring instructor. He will make a lasting difference in your child’s musical journey.

Andrew - Student for 6 Years

As someone who has been lucky enough to play under Mr. Ford throughout highschool and middleschool, I noticed the largest growth in my playing when I started taking lessons. This is not only due to the fact that I had another set of educated ears providing extreme insight into my playing, but more specifically because of the lengths that Kevin Ford went through to be extremely explicit and thorough in his mentoring whether I was working on new repertoire or preparing for an audition.

I believe an amazing lesson teacher is not only the backbone of what develops a great musician but a more well rounded individual in general. Taking lessons with Mr. Ford has allowed me to learn about  and pursue many opportunities within music, whether it be solo or ensemble competitions and festivals, that have given me some of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

Mr. Ford has been able to teach me far beyond technicalities on a page. What I’ve personally come to garner from each lesson I’ve gotten the opportunity to have is a thoughtful methodology and plan catered to my practice that has allowed me to pursue new possibilities I truly enjoy all while knowing I have the full support of my lesson teacher.

I can testify that if you are truly serious about the elevating of your saxophone playing in order to experience all that music has to offer, Mr. Ford will support you 100% of the way through scheduling conflicts or cross country conferences to the best of his ability. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Ford as a lesson teacher for any aspiring saxophonist.

Marcos - Student for 6 Years

A great teacher, but an even greater person. Mr Ford has been with me for 6 years, and every lesson I learn and grow into a better musician, and a better person. As a master saxophonist, he had no trouble getting someone like me with struggles in music, to be one of the best Baritone Saxophonists in the state of Texas.

He’s a selfless person who will dedicate time to help you progress to your music journey. He’s a phenomenal teacher of the arts, and an outstanding mentor of life. He is by far the best Colorado has to offer!

Hannah - Band Director Colleague of 8 Years

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kevin since my first year as a band director for a total of 8 years. He brought great positive energy to our program, and the saxophone sections at our middle school and feeder high school have been the most competitive, hard working, but also the most family-like of all the other sections in the band. They are the section with the most students who make the region and all-state bands, and the students are always asking for harder solos and ensembles to work on.

Not only has Kevin helped our students, but he has also been a great mentor to me with teaching beginner saxophone class; I am a better teacher with much thanks to his guidance.

Since college, Kevin has always had a fantastic attitude and work ethic, and I am so grateful to have worked with him for so long. Texas already misses him greatly!
